With the aim of advancing international collaboration in education and research while expanding opportunities for student and faculty exchange, Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology (HUTECH) hosted a meeting and signed a cooperation agreement with representatives from distinguished Indian universities on April 17. The Indian delegation included representatives from Vellore Institute of Technology (VIT), VIT-AP University, SR University, VIT-Bhopal University, Aditya University, and the organization UnTechEd.
During the meeting, Dr. Ly Thien Trang, Vice President of HUTECH, introduced the university’s key strengths and its dynamic development across a wide range of disciplines, particularly in technology, engineering, business, health sciences, and social sciences. With approximately 40,000 students enrolled, HUTECH collaborates annually with hundreds of reputable companies to organize career fairs, support career development, and enhance employment prospects for its graduates.

She also underscored HUTECH’s achievements in quality assurance, highlighting the university’s 4-star overall rating in the QS Stars system—along with five-star ratings in four key areas: Teaching, Facilities, Good Governance, and Diversity, Equity & Inclusion. Additionally, HUTECH continues to lead innovation in education through the adoption of modern teaching approaches such as Project-based Learning (PBL) and Work-based Learning, helping students develop practical skills aligned with Industry 4.0 standards.

Representatives from the Indian universities shared insights into their institutions' core strengths and expressed strong interest in developing long-term, comprehensive partnerships with HUTECH.
Among the delegation, Vellore Institute of Technology (VIT) highlighted its two campuses: VIT-AP University and VIT Bhopal University. VIT-AP is particularly renowned for its programs in Information Technology, Artificial Intelligence (AI), Data Science, Blockchain, and Cybersecurity. The university is also known for its innovation hubs that foster entrepreneurial thinking, and it consistently earns high positions in international rankings, including QS and India’s NIRF.
VIT Bhopal University focuses on cutting-edge engineering and technology disciplines such as robotics, cloud computing, and the Internet of Things (IoT). It also serves as a key center for applied research and promotes the internationalization of its academic programs.

SR University impressed with its large green campus and a student population exceeding 80,000. It offers multidisciplinary programs spanning engineering, agriculture, social sciences, and business, while maintaining partnerships with top global institutions, notably the University of Melbourne in Australia.
Constructive ideas were shared and aligned between both sides
Aditya University showcased its broad academic portfolio, which includes mechanical engineering, electronics, architecture, business administration, and fundamental sciences. With a strong emphasis on global integration, Aditya maintains an active network of partnerships with leading institutions across Europe and the United States, and places particular focus on faculty and student exchange initiatives. Following productive discussions, HUTECH and the Indian universities formalized their cooperation by signing a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU). This agreement lays a strong foundation for implementing student and faculty exchange programs, joint research initiatives, international conferences, and dual-degree opportunities.
