I. INTRODUCTION:
     The Faculty of Civil Engineering was established in 1998. The Faculty currently provides training programs in 04 majors: Construction Engineering, Transportation Engineering, Construction Economics, and Construction Management. The Faculty consistently excels and shows remarkable development in teaching, human resources training, scientific research, and industry connections. Throughout its 25-year history, the Faculty has earned the trust of both the University’s leaders and successive student generations at the university.
     With an experienced and dedicated team of lecturers, the Faculty is proud to offer a professional, applicable, and dynamic learning environment, helping students to reach their full potential and to produce creative, practical, and impactful ideas and thesis during their time at the university.
In October 2023, the Faculty was honored to be awarded the AUN-QA certification for its Bachelor’s program in Construction Management. This recognition is a testament to the Faculty's commitment to educational excellence and HUTECH's dedication to meeting societal needs. It also signifies our strides towards global integration and aligning with the educational standards of fellow ASEAN countries.

III. PROGRAM OVERVIEW 
1. Program Objectives:
1.1. General Objective
The application-oriented Master's program in Civil Engineering at Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology (HUTECH) aims to help learners supplement, update, and enhance the knowledge in their field and major previously acquired at the undergraduate level; strengthen interdisciplinary knowledge; acquire in-depth expertise in the field of Civil Engineering; and improve their ability to apply specialized knowledge to real-world professional practice. Graduates will be capable of independent work, creative thinking, and identifying and solving problems in the construction field to meet the socio-economic development needs of the country and international integration. Upon graduation, Master’s degree holders will be qualified to become lecturers at universities and pursue doctoral studies both domestically and internationally.
1.2. Specific Objectives
PO1: Having solid practical knowledge, extensive theoretical knowledge in the field of construction to serve research, calculation and optimal solutions for design, construction and project management in the field of construction techniques.
PO2: Enhancing professional knowledge and professional operating skills, with good ability to analyze, synthesize and evaluate data to offer problem -handling solutions in the field of construction in a scientific and creative way.
PO3: Proficient use of analytical software, design calculation, material simulation and structure of the building, with foreign language proficiency equivalent to level 4/6 of the Vietnamese foreign language competency frame; Ability to self -foster and grasp scientific and technical knowledge and a lifelong learning awareness.
PO4: Having the ability to self -oriented personal capacity development, adapting to a highly competitive and professional working environment; There are critical thinking and making expert conclusions, has the ability to conduct expensive expertise to handle major issues in the field of construction.

PLO1 - Summary of basic principles and doctrines, practical knowledge and extensive and advanced theory in research and creativity in the construction and interdisciplinary specialty.

4.2. Career opportunities when graduating
Graduated graduates from construction engineering industry can participate in professional activities related to the field of construction. The specific job positions are as follows:
- Structural design technician, structural verification of works, construction supervision techniques, project management techniques in domestic and foreign companies in the field of construction
- Experts work independently in state management agencies related to construction in the locality, such as: Project Management Board, Construction Department, Urban Management Department, Construction Inspectorate, Department of Construction ..., or companies and construction corporations at home or abroad
- Application of research results, organization and implementation of research results in practice, participating in topics and projects related to the field of construction techniques
- Participate in teaching and training specialized technical staff at research institutes, universities, colleges, professional secondary schools and vocational training in the field of construction.

4.3. Lab. of Soil Menchanics & Geology 
The laboratory is invested in a modern machinery system, under the management and operation of the contingent of cadres, technicians, collaborators with experienced and experienced qualifications. It specializes in conducting experiments to identify the mechanical and mechanical indicators of the ground, serving the foundation work such as: direct cutting, compressing subsidence, moisture determination, Attterberg limits, tight dress ...; Surveying geological statistics to identify typical indicators for soil layer.
