Kicking off the seminar series, guest speaker Ms. Sugiyama Kikue, a lecturer from the Faculty of Japanese Studies, delivered a session titled “An Overview of Vietnamese Culture and Language.” She discussed the development of the Vietnamese language—covering phonology, vocabulary, and grammar—and emphasized key differences in language and communication culture between the two countries. Her insights aimed to help students understand the social norms and etiquette of Vietnamese society. The session also included an introduction to other aspects of Vietnamese culture such as geography, customs, traditional clothing, and regional cuisine, sparking lively and enthusiastic discussions among the participants.

In the afternoon, the Japanese students participated in classroom exchange activities with HUTECH students from the Faculty of Japanese Studies. The students introduced themselves and discussed their future career paths in both Vietnamese and Japanese. This activity not only helped improve language proficiency but also served as a bridge for cultural exchange, enabling students from both universities to better understand each other’s countries and cultures.
