Established in 2000, Open University Malaysia (OUM) is ranked among the top seven universities in Malaysia. With over 79,000 students, OUM offers 70 programs across various fields, including Business and Management, Science and Technology, Social Sciences, Applied Sciences, Education and Languages, as well as Information and Multimedia Technology. In addition to its main campus in Kuala Lumpur, OUM has established a strong network of learning centers throughout Malaysia and across Asia.

On November 7, 2012, OUM was honored to be rated Tier 5 (Excellent) once again by SETARA, the Malaysian rating system for universities and colleges. This is the highest level currently awarded to universities and colleges in Malaysia, based on evaluations conducted by the Malaysian Quality Assurance Division (MQA) in collaboration with the Department of Higher Education’s Quality Management Division, covering 54 institutions nationwide.
