Amid growing global education trends, Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology (HUTECH) has officially launched an International Transfer Bachelor’s Program in collaboration with the University of Auckland (New Zealand)—one of the world’s most prestigious universities.

HUTECH – UoA International Transfer Bachelor’s Program: A pioneering model in Vietnam
Starting February 2025, in the presence of the Prime Minister of New Zealand and the Minister of Education and Training of Vietnam, HUTECH and the University of Auckland officially signed the agreement to implement an International Transfer Bachelor’s Program in Computer Science. This program is currently the only 3+1 articulation model in Vietnam, allowing students to complete three years at HUTECH before transferring to the University of Auckland for their final year of study. This approach helps reduce costs by up to 80% compared to full-time study abroad while still offering an authentic international experience and a globally recognized degree.
The HUTECH – UoA International Transfer Bachelor’s Program in Computer Science is now officially launched
Students enrolled in the program will study entirely in English, with a strong emphasis on critical thinking, leadership, and international integration. They will also learn from top professors from UoA—renowned scientists with global prestige.
Upon graduation, students will receive a Bachelor’s degree awarded by the University of Auckland, unlocking numerous opportunities for further study and international careers. They may choose to pursue a Master’s degree at the same university or work in New Zealand—a country known for its welcoming immigration policies and global talent attraction strategy. Living and studying in Auckland offers young people the chance to broaden their horizons and improve their overall quality of life.
Graduates will receive a Bachelor’s degree awarded by the University of Auckland
Admission Requirements and Registration
The program is open to candidates who:
- Have graduated from high school or an equivalent qualification.
- Apply to HUTECH in majors such as Information Technology, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Artificial Intelligence, or Information Security.
- Meet the English language requirement before entering the final year (in Auckland).
