Recently, three students from the Institute of International Education (I-HUTECH), Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology (HUTECH), embarked on a eight-day journey (April 22–30) to participate in the RMUTR 2025 International Youth Camp held in Thailand.
The RMUTR Youth Camp is a large-scale annual event that attracts students from across Southeast Asia. It offers an ideal platform for young participants to explore cultural diversity and develop essential soft skills for global integration.

For this year’s camp, I-HUTECH selected three outstanding representatives: Pham Dac Nhan, a second-year student majoring in Automotive Engineering Technology (International Standard Program); Nguyen Ngoc My Dieu, a third-year English Studies student in partnership with Open University Malaysia; and Nguyen Ngoc Thao Nguyen, a second-year Business Administration student under the joint program with Lincoln University (USA). Throughout the camp, participants received full support from the organizers, covering meals, accommodation, transportation, and access to a wide range of workshops and training activities.

During the trip, I-HUTECH students and their international peers immersed themselves in hands-on workshops highlighting Thai and Southeast Asian culture. Activities included silver jewelry design, traditional Thai painting, culinary arts, and fruit carving. Participants also explored Thai herbal beauty practices, gaining deeper insight into the local lifestyle and cultural traditions.

In addition to cultural experiences, students joined guided tours to iconic landmarks such as the Temple of the Emerald Buddha in Bangkok, the Nitasrattanakosin Cultural Exhibition Center, and the historic city of Ayutthaya—home to several UNESCO World Heritage sites. These visits offered a valuable opportunity to learn about Thai history and culture while strengthening bonds between students from across the region.

One of the highlights of the camp was a series of multicultural exchange activities, including traditional games, Khon dance performances, and cultural showcases from each participating country. I-HUTECH students impressed their peers with their confidence, enthusiasm, adaptability in using foreign languages, teamwork, and strategic thinking in a multicultural environment.
