Scholarships Presented to New Finance and Commerce Students at the Welcome Ceremony

On October 16, the Faculty of Finance and Commerce at Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology (HUTECH) held a welcome ceremony for the Class of 2023 under the theme “Journey to Empower Dreams,” expressing hope and confidence in the students’ successful academic journey ahead. During the event, several scholarships were also awarded to new students.

Excitement filled the air as freshmen embarked on their university journey, ready for new experiences and opportunities ahead

Representing HUTECH at the event were Dr. Kieu Tuan – Party Committee Secretary and Standing Member of the University Council; Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Thanh Phuong – Vice President; Assoc. Prof. Dr. Vo Dinh Bay – Vice President; Dr. Huynh Ngoc Anh – Vice President; Assoc. Prof. Dr. Tran Van Tung – Dean of the Faculty of Finance and Commerce; Dr. Le Duc Thang – Vice Dean; Mr. Tran Nam Trung – Vice Dean; Ms. Nguyen Thi Nhung – Vice Dean, along with faculty members from the department. The ceremony also welcomed the participation of over 30 business leaders.

The event also garnered significant interest from business representatives, highlighting strong connections between academia and industry

To recognize and encourage outstanding academic achievements, Tan Quang Minh Production & Trading Co., Ltd. (BIDRICO) awarded scholarships to the top incoming freshmen in Accounting, Finance & Banking, Business Commerce, E-Commerce, and International Finance, with each scholarship valued at 1,000,000 VND. Additionally, the five students with the highest entrance exam scores received full English course vouchers for the IELTS 6.0 preparation program, generously sponsored by Jaxtina Education JSC, further supporting their academic and professional growth.

Recognizing the potential of talented freshmen, the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) in Vietnam generously awarded 10 full scholarships for the ACCA online course. Each scholarship covers four foundational subjects in English for Finance, Accounting, and Business, providing recipients with valuable opportunities to enhance their specialized language skills and build a strong academic foundation for their future careers.
