On June 12, Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology (HUTECH) held a working session with representatives from the National Career Development Centre Association (NACDA Malaysia) and Asia Pacific University of Technology & Innovation (APU) to discuss key topics related to enhancing cooperation in career skills development and international internship opportunities for students.

On behalf of HUTECH, the meeting was attended by Ms. Nguyen Lan Huong, Deputy Head of the Department of International Relations and Project Management. Representing NACDA Malaysia and APU were Dr. Sryee Inthran – President of NACDA Malaysia and Director of Corporate Collaboration at APU, and Mr. Hariharan – Director of Training & Development at NACDA Malaysia and Head of Corporate Engagement at APU.
During the meeting, the three parties discussed and proposed several specific areas of cooperation. A standout initiative was the idea of establishing a collaboration network among corporate partnership centers of higher education institutions in ASEAN and other regional countries. This network would facilitate the sharing of career opportunities, streamline the process of finding international internship partners for students, and strengthen connections between universities and businesses in the region.
The three sides discussed various topics related to the cooperation network among corporate partnership centers Other potential areas of collaboration included organizing career trips in conjunction with professional skills training programs; implementing a train-the-trainer model for university lecturers and staff; and developing international exchange and teambuilding activities, opening up various development pathways.
As for the next steps, HUTECH will serve as a bridge to connect NACDA Malaysia and APU with the university’s Center for Corporate Relations to implement internship programs and career initiatives for students. NACDA Malaysia and APU will send detailed proposals for an international conference to work with HUTECH on subsequent steps.
