On June 13, Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology (HUTECH) welcomed a delegation from Bauman Moscow State Technical University (BMSTU), one of Russia’s leading technical universities, to promote cooperation in education and research.

Representing HUTECH were Prof. Dr. Sc. Ho Dac Loc – President, Dr. Ly Thien Trang – Vice President, and Dr. Le Dinh Luong – Vice President, along with representatives from the Institute of Engineering, Faculty of Information Technology, and the Department of International Relations and Project Management.

From BMSTU, the delegation included Prof. Gordin Mikhail Valerievich – President, Ms. Raevskaia Yulia – Vice President for Human Resources and Organizational Development, Mr. Egorov Anton Alekseevich – Director of International Relations, and representatives from the state-owned corporation Rostec. The meeting also welcomed Mr. Timur Sadykov – Consul General of the Russian Federation in Ho Chi Minh City, and Mr. Yuriy Nemtsov – Deputy Consul General.

During the meeting, both universities introduced their scale, strengths, and development orientations. With shared strategies focused on practical application and global engagement, HUTECH and BMSTU quickly reached a mutual understanding on several key areas of cooperation.
HUTECH and BMSTU agreed to enhance international student exchange programs with attractive support. Accordingly, HUTECH students will have the opportunity to receive Russian Government-funded scholarships, covering tuition fees and living expenses. In addition, students will study Russian during their first year before pursuing majors such as Mechanical Engineering, Electronics, Materials Science, Process and System Technology, and Space Science.

Beyond education, the two universities also discussed expanding cooperation in research, focusing on high-tech and advanced engineering fields. This collaboration is expected to lay the foundation for impactful bilateral research projects with real-world applications.
